The first goal of the Eredivisie 2021/22!

It didn't take long for the opening goal of the Dutch season to arrive. After just six minutes of the match between Go Ahead Eagles and Heerenveen, Tibor Halilovic became the author of the first goal of the Eredivisie 2021/22.

The midfielder stole the ball in the final third, driving forward and, without a second thought, struck powerfully with his left. His effort deflected horribly off the back of the defender, looping into the top-right-hand corner of the opponent's goal.

The first of many this term certainly arrived with an element of luck against a team recently promoted from the Eerste Divisie. The visitors, meanwhile, did feature in Netherlands' elite tier last year, finishing the season in 12th.

Eagles' next match comes against Feyenoord on 22nd August, while Heerenveen host Waalwijk on 21st August.
