Ter Stegen will not travel with Germany to Oman due to a stomach bug

Marc-Andre ter Stegen's World Cup campaign has not got off to a good start. The German goalkeeper will not be travelling to Oman, along with the rest of the national team, as he is not feeling well.
The German Football Association confirmed that the goalkeeper has "a gastrointestinal infection" and will not be heading to the pre-World Cup training camp in Qatar, which starts on Sunday.
As a result, Ter Stegen will stay in Frankfurt to recover from the gastrointestinal infection and will travel as soon as possible after his recovery.
This problem will not mean he will be out of the World Cup. Ter Stegen will be with the rest of his teammates in Qatar. Germany are in Group E with Spain, Costa Rica and Japan.
