Steve McClaren rejects Maccabi Tel Aviv offer

Maccabi's manager Jordi Cruyff wanted McClaren by his side as assistant coach, but former the England boss turned down the offer.

Cruyff and McClaren have known each other for a long time after they both worked together at Manchester United, Cruyff as a player and the Englishman as an assistant manager.

Since March, McClaren has been without work, after coaching Championship side Derby Country, and his decision not to head to Israel is due to personal reasons.
