Big changes with regards to the transfer window in Spain. La Liga communicated to clubs that the transfer window will not start on Wednesday, but from 4th August.
The aforementioned source assures that the first day to sign players will be 4th August, two weeks after the Primera División finishes and just after the promotion playoffs.
La Liga has set up the first transfer window for the 2020-21 season from 4th August to 5th October, when next season has already begun.
It will, therefore, be an atypical transfer market which is delayed just over a month due to the COVID-19 crisis, which has forced the end of La Liga to be delayed until the summer.
The source also made the winter market dates known. It would take place between the 4th January and 1st February.
With regards to the other leagues in Europe, the Bundesliga will divide in two this summer. One on the 1st July to register the deals which were already done. The other, from 15th July until 5th October, the same as La Liga.
It must be remembered that the deadline to register players for both the Champions League and Europa League group stages is 6th October.
