The 'Gunners' announced Unai Emery as their new manager earlier this week and attention has already firmly turned onto who he will bring to the club.
One of those targets, Turkish centre-back Caglar Soyuncu, gave an update on his potential move to the Premier League and it will no doubt fill Arsenal fans with hope.
He said: "Arsenal are one of the most important clubs in England. I know they're interested in me, but there's nothing finalised yet about my transfer. After the national team camp, we'll have talks".
Soyuncu is currently away training with Turkey ahead of their friendlies against Iran, Tunisia and Russia and has made 30 appearances for Freiburg this season.
If negotiations progress quickly, the 22-year-old could be Emery's first signing for Arsenal with a fee expected to be in the region of £35million.
