Sokratis signs for Olympiacos

Olympiacos have found a quality reinforcement with Sokratis Papastathopoulos. The Greek defender arrives at the club on a free after leaving Arsenal.

Several top level teams were interested in the CB. One of them was Liverpool, who are still looking for a signing to occupy the spot of the injured Virgil van Dijk.

However, it is Olympiacos who have managed to secure the services of Sokratis, who signs for the club until 30th June 2023.

The defender is a regular in the Greece squads and returns to his country, at 32, to give a new impetus to his career.
