Smith backs Vardy to thrive for England at Euro 2016

After an incredble season for Jamie Vardy, which has seen him crowned as a Premier League champion, Alan Smith believes the player will be crucial for England at Euro 2016.
Despite the fact he is 29-years-old and only has six caps to his name after making his debut last June, Jamie Vardy is set to start for England this summer after his impressive performances for Leicester City.
Smith, who like Vardy played for both Leicester and England, believes this summer could be the pinacle moment of Vardy's international career, and has backed the striker to 'ruffle some featers' in France.
"He is 29 and he has not got too many years at the top for a player who uses his pace and physical abilities, " Smith told Omnisport.
"But for the next two or three years, he is going to be a major force in the Premier League and hopefully for England at the Euros.
"He is definitely going to go to France - it is about how Roy Hodgson chooses to use him. He can ruffle quite a few feathers in France I think.
"He has got that hunger. We all know where he came from - non-league football - there is an element of making the very most of his time in the spotlight."
