Moussa Sissoko has been rewarded for his emergence as a key player at Tottenham with a new four-year contract, the club confirmed.
Reports suggested that Sissoko’s initial contract with Tottenham Hotspur put him on wages that were around £80k/week, so he may push into six figures with this new deal depending on the terms.
Moussa Sissoko joined Tottenham on deadline day back in the summer of 2016 for at then-club record £31.5m, from Newcastle. His first two seasons at the club were not great, given he was used in a myriad of positions and Mauricio Pochettino had trouble figuring out where he was best suited. Sissoko's new deal will see him stay at the club until 2023. The midfielder has made 132 appearances for the club and has scored twice.
Spurs probably would not have reached the Champions League final without Moussa Sissoko last year and it is safe to safe he was virtually undroppable last season, with a series of solid performances.
This is likely to be Sissoko's big contract, as he is already 30-years-old and this contract will see him stay at the club until he is 34.
