Low released his final squad for the World Cup on Monday, as the tournament draws ever closer. The 23-man list is full of quality players, but Low has made a huge call by excluding Leroy Sane.
Sane has had a wonderful season in England for Manchester City, winning the Premier League and the League Cup, while contributing 14 goals and 15 assists on a personal level. The winger was a mainstay in Pep Guardiola's side, and earned the PFA Young Player of the Year award for his performances.
However, inexplicably, he hasn't done enough to merit a place on the plane to Russia in the German head coach's eyes. Sane, along with Bernd Leno and Jonathan Tah, has been dropped, with Julian Brandt seemingly the man taking his place.
Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer has been handed the number one shirt, meaning it is likely he will be first choice keeper for Germany.
