Schweinsteiger not holding back: "They don't give it all"

Germany's footballing failure was so bad that several ex-footballers came out to speak about it. One of them was Bastian Schweinsteiger, the ex-Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder.

When speaking to 'ARD', the 2014 World Cup winner did not hold back and took aim at the 26 players and most of all, Hansi Flick. "There are moments on the pitch when the players aren't even 5% concentrated if you look at the 1-1 game (against Spain)", he claimed.

"Going all out doesn't just mean attacking all the time, but being focused on the match. We often left opponents free, especially to our defenders. I was expecting a lot more than that. That's what I mean when I say going all out. It's been clearer in other games", Schweinsteiger said.

He ended by talking about the Germany manager's words about how other sides showed more willing: "No, that's completely wrong. What is that based on?".
