Toluca have a new goalkeeper. His name is Alfredo Saldívar. The move is now official: the club published it in both an official statement on their website and a short message on their main social media. He arrives from Pumas.
His appearances this season were getting less. He played 28 matches- starting all of them- when last season, he played 48 times. Maybe he'll manage to get back in the limelight as before now that he faces a new opportunity.
He is a goalkeeper with a lot of experience in the league. He has never played outside his country. 11 years as a professional player, and in fact, at the age of 29 it's the first time has he has changed team in his whole career.
"Alfredo Saldívar wants to write a new story with our Red Devils. Welcome, Saldívar!", the club informed on their official Twitter account. The most likely scenario is that he is the sub goalkeeper, but his performance will determine if he gets more chances.
