Sakho returns for U-23s, but future still in doubt

The former PSG defender fell out with Jurgen Klopp over the summer and was sent home from Liverpool's pre-season tour of the United States.
The Frenchman then recently posted on Snapchat that he had been fit to play for three weeks, after Klopp said that he was carrying an injury.
Sakho finally received a run-out in Liverpool U-23s' 2-1 loss to Wolfsburg U-23s and posted on social media that he was "happy to get back".
However, given the 26-year-old's rocky relationship with Jurgen Klopp, and Liverpool's impressive start to the season, it would be tough to envisage a way back for Sakho.
The former Dortmund manager has favoured Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip in the heart of the defence for the Reds and he also signed Ragnar Klavan from Augsburg in the summer to bolster his defensive options.
On top of all this, Klopp has also played Lucas at centre-half on occasions and should Sakho eventually be welcomed back into the first-team squad, he still faces a long road to get back into the starting 11.
