Saka in 'bit of pain' after crude Davis tackle, says Arteta

Leif Davis' ugly foul in Sunday's 4-0 defeat against Arsenal left Bukayo Saka writhing in pain and triggered the defender's 32nd-minute dismissal. The 23-year-old winger eased Arsenal's fears as he hopped to his feet and resumed without any apparent problems.
With the Gunners in total control of the game at Portman Road, Mikel Arteta opted to substitute Saka early in the second half to keep him fresh for the Champions League quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain looming ahead.
But supporters were left worried again, as Saka was spotted receiving treatment on his right Achilles on the bench after he was replaced by Nwaneri in the 57th minute. Arteta spoke about the forward's fitness conditions post-match to ease concerns for a second time.
“He’s in a bit of pain, but thankfully it doesn’t look anything too serious," the Spaniard told reporters. “He’s fine, it looks all good." Arteta could rest Saka against Crystal Palace on April 26 to avoid any setbacks with crucial games coming up for his side.
