Rafa Benitez wants to link up with Saint-Maximin once again. The two worked together at Newcastle, and the Spaniard wants him at his new team, as Benitez has reportedly requested the player at Everton for the coming season. However, Newcastle are unwilling to lose one of their star players and as a result will not let him go for less than 55 million euros, the 'Daily Mirror' have reported.
It's worth remembering that Saint-Maximin signed a six-year contract with the Magpies last season. A deal which could be broken in the next few weeks if Everton put in a decent offer for the 24-year-old.
Benitez is aware of all the abilities that the winger has; he can use both feet, - a quality that not everyone in the footballing world possesses - he can dribble, he's quick and full of tricks. All qualities that have made him into a promising player.
Saint-Maximin ended his early years at Saint-Etienne and stood out enough for him to earn a move to Monaco. After a series of loans he was sold to Nice, where he linked up with Patrick Viera for two seasons.
