Ronaldo's first interview in Arabia: "This league has a lot of potential"

Cristiano Ronaldo made a big impact in the winter transfer window. The Portuguese footballer decided to leave Manchester United and was unveiled as the new player of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, where he became the highest paid player in the world.
The 37-year-old striker gave his first personal interview on Arabian soil and revealed the reasons that led him to accept the offer from the Saudi team, where he will not be able to make his official debut for a few days yet.
"It feels great to be here, of course.... Being at Al Nassr is an honour. I'm looking forward to making my people and myself happy. I'm very happy to be here," began the former Manchester United player.
And in the same vein, he added: "The most important thing is the present, to enjoy, to win for the team. I also want to help the country develop as it deserves and I am here to be part of the new generation.
Finally, Cristiano revealed why he decided to play in Saudi football: "The league has a huge potential, there are incredible players. It's a very competitive competition, that's why I'm here.
