The 32-year-old is experiencing his worst seasons since joining Los Blancos back in 2009, with just one league goal to his name so far in eight La Liga appearances, and there are rumours that his time in the Spanish capital could be coming to an end.
Ronaldo has asked Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for a wage increase and will reportedly look to leave in the summer if his request isn't granted. Therefore, the Portuguese star is assessing his options, and seeing who would be interested, and financially able, to sign him from the European champions.
According to Spanish publication 'Diario Gol', one of the clubs on his radar are none other than PSG. The reports claim that Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, has held informal talks with representatives from the Ligue 1 leaders, but nothing concrete is on the table yet.
The talks were supposedly very discrete and took place in a hotel in Madrid. The only thing which is clear at the moment is that if the player is willing to move to Paris, the club will do everything in the power to grant him his wish. That is to say, they will hand Florentino Perez a blank cheque and tell him to name his price.
At the moment, though, Ronaldo is reportedly happy at the Santiago Bernabeu and despite a disappointing start to the campaign, he wants to see how the season develops.
It is also common knowledge that Real Madrid have had a long-standing interest in Brazil and PSG star Neymar, so any deal involving Ronaldo moving to the Parc des Princes may well hinge on Neymar moving the other way.
Could we see Cristiano Ronaldo somehow line up alongside Neymar and Mbappe in the near future? That still remains to be seen, but the sight of those three lining up together would be enough to strike fear into any defence in world football.
