Rodri and Olmo bring Spain's number of absentees against Andorra to 7

The Spanish national team travelled to Badajoz, where on Wednesday they take on Andorra in the first of two tests ahead of their participation in Euro 2024, with 23 players. Rodri Hernandez and Dani Olmo remained at the Ciudad del Futbol, adding to the absences of Aymeric Laporte, Dani Carvajal, Nacho Fernandez and Joselu Mato.

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has ruled out Rodri and Dani Olmo for the first friendly and both players will complete a specific training plan on Wednesday. It will be a session that Laporte will also join after the extended leave due to finishing his campaign with Al-Nassr later in the day.

The decision of the coaching staff with the Manchester City midfielder is to take care of the physique of a key player in the scheme of Luis de la Fuente and who accumulates many games with the English team this season.

Dani Olmo, meanwhile, has not competed since 3 May, when he played his last Bundesliga game for RB Leipzig.
