The German forward showed respect for the Spanish team in the press conference and assured that, in spite of the injuries suffered by Semedo, Piqué and Alba, Barça has "a very good squad and with a lot of quality in each position, regardless of how they are now," said Marco Reus.
Reus stressed the confidence he has in his team, which is not going through its best moment after a draw last weekend against a team in the Bundesliga's relegation zone, Paderborn, and a 4-0 defeat against Bayern Munich, also in domestic competition.
Regarding Barcelona's interest in signing him in the past, Reus made clear he has a good relationship with the German club and that his intention is to stay at Borussia Dortmund for the next few years.
"I didn't extend my contract in vain. I'll be 33 when I finish it. I'm very comfortable playing here," added Reus. "It will be the first time I play in this exciting stadium and city. What more can you ask than to play and win here?"
On the penalty that Marc-André Ter Stegen, one of his best friends, stopped in the clash played at Signal Iduna Park, Reus joked: "That penalty made me suffer. I would have liked to score. Since then, we're no longer friends," he said jokingly. "He's a great goalkeeper with extraordinary mental strength. If I get another chance in front of him, I'll try to do better," said Reus.
Borussia Dortmund will face Barça on Wednesday in the penultimate round of Group F of the Champions League, which Barcelona leads with 8 points, one more than Borussia Dortmund.
