Rashford on the money from the spot as United get back to winning ways

Manchester United claimed their first Premier League win since the opening day of the season thanks to Rashford's only goal of the game against Leicester City at Old Trafford.
It was a fast start to the game and Pereira called Schmeichel into action early on before De Gea made a tremendous save to prevent Leicester taking the lead. Maddison beat Lindelof to a long punt forward and De Gea's knocked it out with a corner with his leg in the fourth minute. Just three minutes later, the decisive moment came.
Soyuncu brought down Rashford with his leg and referee Martin Atkinson pointed to the penalty spot. The United man made the most of the contact, but it was never going to be overturned. With no Pogba on the pitch, there was no debate over who to take the spot kick and Rashford kept his cool to send the goalie the wrong way. Man Utd then controlled the game for around 15 minutes before the visitors came fighting back.
Their best chance was after 30 minutes when De Gea had to make a fabulous tip over the bar from Chilwell after Maguire could only half clear the corner. Andreas Pereira then had to make a vital intervention to only concede a corner seconds later and Leicester finished the half strongly. Tielemans passed to Gray who miscued his cross for a goal kick and then Soyuncu fired at De Gea just before the interval. Half-time came at a good time for the home team.
In the second half, Man Utd focussed on defending their lead instead of going for a second and bar one or two close shaves, they did that brilliantly. That said, Mata had the first chance of the half when he was played in Wan-Bissaka, but he was denied by Schmeichel. However, five minutes later, the home fans' hearts missed a beat when Maddison free-kick went narrowly wide of the goal.
And that was not a one off as Tielemans then failed to find the target just after the hour mark. Leicester had another corner after that, but then United began to have a few chances of their own.
Fred muscled Ricardo Pereira off the ball to start a move which saw James smack over the crossbar. Then, seven minutes from time, Rashford saw a sweetly struck free-kick cannon off the junction.
Man U looked very comfortable, but Leicester City pressed late on and one occasion, they took a corner short despite keeper Schmeichel going up and then almost levelled in stoppage time when McTominay was unable to clear a cross, but Ndidi volleyed the rebound wide. That would be the end of the game and United claimed three vital points after going three games without a win.
United deserved the victory after playing good attacking football in the first half followed by a solid defensive display in the second. For Leicester, they were rather weak going forward with the exception of James Maddison and when they did, they were denied by David de Gea.
