Continued heavy rain in Belgium in recent days has forced Wednesday's friendly between the Red Devils and Serbia to be relocated from Brussels to Leuven because of the poor condition of the pitch at the King Baudouin Stadium.
The match will be played behind closed doors tonight at 20.45 local time at the Den Dreef ground in Leuven, some 40 kilometres from the capital, after Romanian referee Marian Alexandru Barbu decided after inspecting the pitch that it was not up to standard.
The match will be played without a crowd because the last-minute change of venue did not allow the stadium to be brought up to safety standards, the federation said, after rainfall over the past three days totalled the equivalent of 20. The organisers will refund fans who had tickets.
Next Sunday, Belgium face Azerbaijan in the Euro 2024 qualifiers at the King Baudouin stadium in Brussels.
