Left-back Rafa Soares, who until now played for Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes, signed for Greece's second-biggest club PAOK on Tuesday, the Greek club announced.
The 27-year-old Portuguese signed a three-year contract with the team from Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city, which this year reached the quarter-finals of the Conferenece League, where they were beaten by Marseille.
The full-back will be paid €500,000 a year at the Greek side who are currently second in the Super League standings, led by Olympiacos.
Since it was founded by ethnic Greek migrants who came from Istanbul to Thessaloniki in 1926, PAOK has won the Greek Cup eight times and the Hellenic Super League three times. The last time was in 2019.
