Paris Saint-Germain:
Spirits will be low in the PSG camp going into Saturday's tie after crashing out of the Champions League 5-2 on aggregate to Real Madrid. The Parisians will be expecting a metaphoric walk in the 'Parc' as they line up to deal a coup de grâce to minnows Metz .
PSG's injury list is a short but significant one, with star man Neymar out for the rest of the season with a broken metatarsal. Edinson Cavani is suspended after picking up one too many yellows but Marco Verratti's Champions League red card doesn't carry over to domestic competitions so the Italian is eligible for this clash.
Metz:
Times are tough in France's Grand Est. Metz currently find themselves rooted at the bottom of Ligue 1 and an almost unreachable nine points from safety. With two consecutive league draws, the side are picking up crucial points, but many will declare them dead on arrival at the Parc des Princes.
Left-back Julian Palmieri will miss out through suspension after seeing red against Toulouse.
PSG boss Unai Emery on the Champions League:
"We'll continue with patience, and build a team that can win."
Metz midfielder Danijel Milicevic:
"We know all about their team and even without the injured Neymar and the suspended Cavani they'll be able to name a top-quality side against us"
Did you know?
It's forecast to rain goals in Paris. This game sees the league's best attack go up against the worst defence. PSG have scored 86 goals this season whilst Metz have conceded 50 so far.
Last time round:
When these two teams last met, PSG delivered a 5-1 drumming. Nevertheless, four of those five goals were scored by players who won't feature on Saturday - Cavani, Neymar and Lucas Moura who secured a transfer to Spurs last month.
Possible line-ups:
PSG: Areola; Meunier, Kimpembe, Thiago Silva, Kurzawa; Rabiot, Diarra, Lo Celso; Di Maria, Nkunku, Mbappe.
Metz: Kawashima; Balliu, Rivierez, Niakhate, Lempereur; Cohade, Poblete; Dossevi, Milicevic, Roux; Riviere.
