In the last few weeks, details of Mbappe's huge PSG contract were released, but the French champions want to keep their star happy and are preparing a new and improved deal for the 20 year-old.
Firstly, Mbappé's current contract runs out in June 2023, but according to 'RMC Sports', PSG want to extend his deal to scare off any potential suitors for the forward.
And by potential suitors, they are particularly worried about Real Madrid. The Spanish giants' reported interest in Mbappé is nothing new, and speculation linking the attacker to the Bernabéu has only increased after the return of fellow countryman Zinedine Zidane to the Madrid dugout.
When asked about a potential move to Spain, Mbappé replied: "I'm happy for Real Madrid that they've brought Zidane back. I will watch their games on TV as I am a fan of Zidane".
Any new deal is expected to include a considerable pay-rise for the World Cup winner, who currently earns 775,000 euros a month, meaning he takes home an eye-watering 10 million euros a season.
The French press suggest that PSG have already begun negotiations with Mbappé's representatives, and expect a deal to be confirmed in the near future.
