President of Lyon suggests Man Utd could hijack Fekir's Liverpool move

The Frenchman revealed to 'beIN Sports' that he had been speaking to Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho in recent days.
He also said to the network: "It was expected at a certain point for him to go to Liverpool. I gave the green light. It did not happen because things were dragged out too long.
"Personally, I am no longer in discussions with Liverpool. At the moment, we are waiting for France and Nabil to have a fantastic World Cup"
This comes after Liverpool had agreed a fee of £53 million with the French club, and had agreed personal terms on a 5-year contract for the forward to make the move to Anfield.
However, Jurgen Klopp's side were apparently concerned with the physical fitness of the French international, who has suffered with long-term knee injuries in the past.
Should Mourinho and United decide to purchase Fekir, he would be their third signing of the summer after having spent £52 million on Brazilian midfielder Fred from Shaktar Donetsk and £17 million on Diogo Dalot from Portuguese side Porto. The Red Devils will look to improve on their second place finish in the Premier League last season, behind Manchester rivals Man City.
