Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored great free-kicks in the past, is not so good when it comes to defending them. Against Parma, he did not jump in the wall and it ended up costing his side a goal. Juventus fought back to win, but the Portuguese was once again criticised.
It all started in the Champions League last 16 second leg when Juventus were eliminated by Porto. Sergio Oliveira scored with a free-kick because Ronaldo stepped away and the wall broke.
Against Parma, he was once again at fault. Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo spoke about it in the press conference and seemed to have a dig at him.
"With regards to Cristiano Ronaldo, these things can happen, but we'll see whether we put him in the wall in the future or not," the Juventus coach said.
Pirlo also spoke about the controversy over the ESL and said that something has to change in Europe."
