"Peter Lim saved Valencia from certain bankruptcy"

La Liga president Javier Tebas said Peter Lim's time as Valencia's top shareholder will come to an end, but criticised pressure on him to leave the club. "Peter Lim is not going to be eternal at Valencia," Tebas told reporters in Villarreal at the La Liga FC Futures tournament in which he criticised that "some people now want so much speed".

"I'm looking forward to the stadium issue being resolved. You have to be more far-sighted than short-sighted and trying to put pressure on Peter Lim to leave so that the issue of the stadium can be done is not something I like and it is not acceptable," he added.

Tebas said that "Valencia are an institution of the city" and that the new stadium would be "a stadium for the city".

The head of the club insisted that Lim's arrival at Valencia ten years ago was the club's salvation and recalled some of the club's successes during this period. "Lim came and saved Valencia from certain bankruptcy. Football memory is short," he concluded.
