Parma admit they cannot sign 'Mudo' Vazquez
After four and a half seasons, Mudo Vazquez has more than more foot out of Sevilla. The midfielder, one of the senior figures in the team, now has a secondary or even tertiary role and everything seems to suggest that he will leave the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the transfer window.
According to 'Sky Sport', the Argentine will go to Italy. There Lazio and Torino have asked about him, but apparently Parma are the ones most interested in him.
Marcello Carli, Parma's sporting director, admitted in comments to 'Estadio Deportivo' that the club are interested in him. At least they are studying that option.
"We are studying whether he's the right type of player for us. The money is an issue. We'll probably not be able to pay to sign him," he said.
Nevertheless, the Sevilla based newspaper said that the player's intention and that of his agents is to hand in a transfer request and leave for free in the coming weeks.
Franco Vazquez came through the Belgrano academy in Argentina and was at Palermo in Italy and Rayo Vallecano in Spain before joining Sevilla. He has made 189 appearances for the Andalusian outfit, he is 31 years old and his contract expires next summer.
