The French side are aware negotiations will be challenging, but are proposing a loan deal with an option to buy. This approach could appeal to the player, who is lacking minutes at Madrid and could become a key figure at Marseille if he chooses to move.

With just seven and eight minutes played against Osasuna and Real Oviedo respectively in the opening two La Liga fixtures, Dani Ceballos finds himself down the pecking order under Xabi Alonso. Even with Jude Bellingham sidelined through injury, he has failed to gain prominence in the team, which could make the Marseille offer even more enticing.
