OFFICIAL: Vietto moves to Fulham on loan

Fulham have announced the signing of Argentine striker Luciano Vietto on loan from Atletico Madrid, where he has struggled to gain regular minutes on the field.

Luciano Vietto is not in Simeone's plans for the coming season. Thursday's additions of Gelson Martins and Nikola Kalinic to the squad have seen Vietto out of the proverbial Atletico door.

At Fulham, Vietto will try to recover his goalscoring form from his days at Villarreal, when he scored 20 goals for the 'Yellow Submarine' in just one season. Vietto has also spent loans at Sevilla and Valencia since joining 'Los Rojiblancos'.

Despite several Italian teams being interested in the Argentine forward, the newly-promoted 'Cottagers' have captured the player's signature.

Vietto, in a statement for Fulham's official website, said: "I’m very happy to come to the Club and sign. I’m very excited to get started with the team tomorrow.

“It’s an important change for me because this is my first experience here in England. I hope to do as well as possible.”
