Arzani follows in the footsteps of the likes of Jack Harrison and Aaron Mooy in joining City from a sister club after completing his switch from the A-League.
The 19-year-old is considered one of the brightest prospects in Australian and world football, having featured at this summer's World Cup as the youngest player at the tournament.
His talent and flair saw Iran-born Arzani named the A-League's Young Footballer of the Year in 2017/18, as well as picking up the Harry Kewell medal for the best player in Australia under the age of 23.
Brian Marwood, City Football Group's Managing Director of Global Football, was pleased to see Arzani make the move to the Premier League.
“In a short period of time, Daniel has developed into one of Australia’s brightest young stars and has demonstrated the drive and raw talent required for success at the highest level," he enthused.
“This pathway was first forged by Aaron Mooy just two years ago, and we are all delighted to see another Australian-grown talent make this move. The combination of City Football Group’s global football structure and the world-leading City Football Academy facilities create an environment in which this pathway can become well-trodden.”
Arzani is expected to complete a loan move to Celtic later on Thursday.
