The Premier League shareholders unanimously voted on Monday 18th May to return to training in small groups from Tuesday afternoon.
It is the first step towards the Premier League returning to action providing it is safe to do so. It is all coronavirus dependent of course.
The Premier League announced that Step One of the Return to Training Protocol enables squads to train while maintaining social distancing. However, contact between the players is not permitted.
"This first stage has been agreed in consultation with players, managers, Premier League club doctors, independent experts and the Government. Strict medical protocols of the highest standard will ensure everyone returns to training in the safest environment possible," the Premier League confirmed.
The season is expected to resume in the middle of June.
