The striker joined Leeds back in 2016 from Kalmar FF but largely failed to make an impact at Elland road, scoring just three times in 21 appearances for the club.
The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Blackburn, where his eight goals in 34 games helped Rovers return to the Championship at the first time of asking.
However, Antonsson has now secured a return to his homeland, with Malmo boss Uwe Rosler sealing a move.
Antonsson is believed to have signed a three-year contract with Malmo.
