Anthony Elanga was one of Manchester United's most overlooked players last season. The Swedish striker played just 26 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit, failing to score a goal and assisting twice.
As a result, the 21-year-old has decided to try his luck at Nottingham Forest. After 14 seasons playing for the Red Devils - both first team and academy - Elanga will change his destination although he will continue playing in the Premier League.
"Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the signing of forward Anthony Elanga from Manchester United," Forest wrote on their website. The Sweden international has signed a five-year contract and has joined for an undisclosed fee.
"Anthony has been a fine role model and example for other members of the Academy, and leaves with our sincere best wishes for the future, after Forest won the race for his signature," said Manchester United in bidding farewell to their academy player.
