The Irish national team had a disappointing international break, after losing embarrassingly 4-1 to Wales in a friendly match before missing out on an away win against Poland when they conceded in the last three minutes of the game.
Things off the pitch seemed to be even worse than on the pitch, when it emerged that assistant manager Roy Keane had been in heated arguments with senior players such as Stephan Ward and Jon Walters.
Manager Martin O'Neill had to defend the actions of his often out-spoken assistant after the defeat tot Wales.
Despite the apparent discord in the dressing room, young midfielder Callum O'Dowda claims that the players are completely united.
"The only thing I can comment on is our togetherness. No one sees it from outside the group, but I'll tell you what, the togetherness we have in the group is pretty brilliant." the Bristol City player told 'Sky Sports'.
"Since I came into the squad, I didn't think it would be as good as it is. I don't know about the noise because I don't really look at social media at all."
