Nottingham Forest secure Ola Aina’s future until 2028

Ola Aina has signed a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, securing his continuity at the club until 2028. The 28-year-old Nigerian full-back still had a year left on his contract, but the two sides have decided to extend their relationship after an outstanding season.
Aina was a key part of the team's defence as they finished seventh in the Premier League and qualified for the Europa Conference League qualifiers. Since his arrival from Torino two years ago, the defender has made 59 appearances and scored two goals for Forest.
"I can't wait to continue this journey with the club. It's always felt like a home ever since I joined and I'm happy to be here," said Aina. "Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work," he added.
Aina joins the likes of Neco Williams, Chris Wood and Murillo, who have also recently renewed their contracts with the club.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis praised the player, saying: "Ola has skill, determination and character in abundance. He epitomises the culture and hard work we expect from everyone associated with Forest."
