No England fans arrested at World Cup for first time ever

The World Cup 2022 has been a place without fighting or violence. The Qatari regime, the high price of travelling there and the difficulty to buy alcohol are a few of the reasons why this type of event has not happened.
This Wednesday, UK Football Police Chief Mark Roberts announced that, according to his data, it is the first time in World Cup history that no British fan has been arrested at the prestigious tournament.
"Across the whole country during the tournament, there have not been any arrests or incidents to inform of, which is a credit to everyone who has travelled", he claimed.
"In Russia 2018, there were three arrests made. But obviously, as we've had two sides in this tournament, we've played double the amount of games in the group stages, as well as the local derby, which highlights the good nature of our fans", he added.
Roberts said himself that the news surprised him just as much as it did to non-Brits: "Traditionally, we have few arrests made of our fans at World Cups, but to have zero is something we have never seen before".
