Neymar highest paid Ligue 1 player

According to 'L'Equipe's estimates, in its list of highest paid Ligue 1 players published this Friday, Neymar leads the way. The Brazilian star for PSG, who paid 222 million euros for him, earns 3.06 million euros gross a month.
Next is young French international Mbappe with 1.91 million; the Brazilian captain Thiago Silva who gets 1.5 million, Edinson Cavani (1.345 million); Marquinhos and Marco Verratti ( both 1.2 million), Angel Di Maria (1.1 million) and Keylor Navas (1 million),
The following PSG footballers - Mauro Icardi (800,000), Esteban Paredes (750,000) and Presnel Kimpembe (670,000) get less than a million euros a month.
The first non-PSG player is in 12th position. That is Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder who earns 650,000 euros. However, the next two spots are occupied by PSG players once again. Ander Herrera gets the same as Ben Yedder while Julian Draxler earns 50,000 less.
Cesc Fabregas of Monaco also earns 600,000 euros.
With regards to last year, the main changes at the top of the list concern two players who renewed their PSG contracts and practically doubled their salaries, Verratti and Marquinhos. There are also two signings from last summer, Mauro Icardi and Keylor Navas.
All of them are better paid than two experienced players who left Paris. Dani Alves (700,000 euros a month gross) and Gianluigi Buffon (750,000).
The difference between the top and the bottom of the league is huge. Half of the players in France's top flight earn less than 35,000 euros a month.
