'Le Parisien' unveiled a complaint against Al-Hilal striker Neymar from a former housekeeper. The French newspaper claims that Marcia, a 35-year-old Brazilian who has no papers, is claiming 368,000 euros from the player in a labour court in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, for having employed her between January 2021 and October 2022 without legally registering her and for other breaches of French law.
The complainant claims that she worked every day of the week and was paid in cash. In addition to the undeclared work, the offences alleged include the untiring rhythm imposed on her, the non-payment of overtime and the absence of paid holidays and health insurance.
Marcia claims that she was forced to work until 15 days before giving birth to her fourth child and, after the birth, she was not accepted in the position.
According to the complaint, the employee worked for Neymar at his 27th birthday party in February 2019, before becoming an ad hoc kitchen assistant and, from January 2021, she began to be permanently in the footballer's service. Her tasks, she said, ranged from cleaning to doing the nails of the footballer's partner Bruna Biancardi.
The lawsuit is accompanied by messages exchanged by Marcia and Neymar's personal assistant that prove the woman's work in the Brazilian player's house.
It adds that she worked nine hours a day from Monday to Thursday, six on Fridays and Saturdays and seven on Sundays, at a rate of 15 euros an hour and double that on public holidays. Although he did not have a pay slip, he wrote down the hours in a notebook, also submitted as evidence.
Before Neymar left Paris to play in Saudi Arabia, he was sent a letter to seek an amicable solution to the dispute and, in the absence of a reply, she decided to go to the labour courts.
