There will be no fans in La Liga and Segunda División for the next two weeks. La Liga have communicated to all clubs that stands will be closed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Media outlets such as 'Marca' and 'COPE' informed that the Council of Ministers, that met on Tuesday, has prohibited matches to be played with fans for the next 15 days.
As Thebes said, La Liga has complied with the wishes of the Council of Ministers and will play the next two matchdays in both the first and second divisions without fans in the stands.
'COPE' also said that it's not just La Liga and Segunda matches that will have no fans, but also all Spanish sport, including the 3rd and 4th tier.
The official statement from La Liga will not be made public until the press conference takes place after the Council of Ministers. It is estimated that it will take place at 13:00 CET on Tuesday.
The ban will be in place from Tuesday, starting with the Eibar v Real Sociedad match that was already suspended due to a fire in the area.
Furthermore, matchdays 29 and 30 of La Liga and 32 and 33 of Segunda will be played behind closed doors, from the Real Madrid v Eibar match on Friday to the Barcelona v Leganés match on Sunday 22nd March, and then the derby between Sevilla and Real Betis this weekend.
Meanwhile, 'Mundo Deportivo' informed that all professional competitions, as well as non-professional taking place in Spain, will have to be played behind closed doors this weekend.
