Newcastle and Wolves both go home with a point!

Newcastle took advantage of the Southampton's historic defeat in order to get out of the relegation zone, but they were left feeling cheated out of the taste of victory.

It was Jamaal Lascelles that put Newcastle in front in the game. The central's header, to which he beat Coady in the jump, could not be caught by Rui Patricio, as the ball slipped through his hands.

Wolves, who with this point stay in the top half of the table, were in search of a draw. Nuno did not want to have two consecutive lost matches. He climbed lines and made it difficult for Newcastle to play.

Wolverhampton Wanderers almost equalised in the final part of the first half, but Jota's shot was diverted by Dubravka. It was the first warning in a game that Wolves drew in the end.
