Jesse Lingard's contract at Man Utd expires in the summer and three options for him. The first was Tottenham, but turned it down. The second is AC Milan and the others are Roma. 'Corriere dello Sport' have published more information on a possible move to Roma.
The Italian paper indicates that Roma coach Jose Mourinho and Chris Smalling, who have both been at Man Utd in the past, are key to this deal being completed. They could get in contact with the Englishman so that he makes a move and decides to join them.
This situation is a problem for AC Milan, who are still waiting. The 'Rossoneri' could also look to someone in their squad to try and persuade Lingard. At the end of the day, that is often how clubs end up signing players.
If Lingard decides to go to Serie A, it will be the first time in his career he will have played in this league. Last season, he was on loan at West Ham United, where he showed signs of quality which helped him win over the fans. He was even called 'Lingardinho' when he played well.
