He had a few nervy moments during his first start for Barcelona, including a couple of instances where Angel was able to get the wrong side of him. The former Palmeiras player admitted that he was: "more nervous because to be at a club like this is a happiness I can't describe."
Mina also revealed that Gerard Pique offered him some support before the game. "Gerard told me to stay calm, to play my game. The group have made me feel comfortable and helped me relax," he recalled.
His first start could actually have finished spectacularly. With just over ten minutes to go before the end of the game, a corner was swung in from the right and Mina headed just wide. It would have given Barcelona the lead. "I knew that it was coming to me and I had to get close, but it wasn't to be. We have to keep working and keep practising heading in training," he explained.
Having drawn for two consecutive weeks, Barcelona have seen the gap to Atletico Madrid cut to seven points, but they are remaining calm.
"The guys are calm because it's [the gap] still big. We know the club we are and the players we have," he concluded.
