Rafael Leao has a contract with AC Milan until 2024. The club has already made him a proposal to sign a new one, in an attempt to prevent Madrid from approaching him.
The frustrated signing of Mbappe led Madrid to put Leao at the top of their agenda for 2022-23. The Italian club fear that they could end up taking him to Madrid and, in fact, they are already thinking about his possible replacement.
'AS' claims that Milan would be interested in winger Yannick Carrasco if Leao becomes a 'Merengue'. The Atletico player has a clause of 60 million euros, a figure that the 'Rossoneri' club could afford with the money that Madrid leave in their coffers.
Carrasco is a key player for Atletico and that is what the club has told him. The Belgian, meanwhile, continues to add clubs interested in him. Newcastle have also been interested in his signing recently.
Milan, however, hope Leao will stay and not have to turn to the market. They will only make a bid for Carrasco if their striker heads to the La Liga and Champions League winners.
