Messi speaks to press for 45 minutes after Argentina defeat

His commitment for his country was clear during the game, as he uncharacteristically harried defenders and chased down lost causes even when it was clear that a comeback was not on the cards. After the defeat, Messi spoke extensively to the press about what happened, answering more questions that his manager did - a clear show of his influence in the national team.

Messi seemed visibly upset after the loss, explaining that he didn't believe Colombia were as superior as the scoreline would suggest and stating that it was only really a wonder goal that separated the sides.
