Messi gave an extensive interview to 'Radio 94.7 Club Octubre' in which he praised Cristiano, something which surprised everybody. Among other issues, he was asked about Icardi's comments which were made a few months back. An Icardi who has apparently wanted to apologise to Inter in order to be available to play versus Lazio.
"We felt very comfortable with everyone. It was really nice. I experienced what went on before and there wasn't so much camarederie and friendship. I hope it can carry on," said the Inter striker.
And Messi replied forcefully: "I don't know what Icardi said. If he said that, I don't understand him. I only played two matches with him because I got injured in that moment, but I don't know what must have happened for him to say that. "The fact there are greater and younger people doesn't mean everything is bad. Everyone makes their own group. It happens in all national teams," Leo explained. I saw Heinze, Ayala, Juan Roman Riquelme and I didn't spend much time with them, but I didn't have a problem with them. I don't know what Icardi meant. We never treat anybody badly," he concluded.
