Real Madrid visit Villarreal at La Cerámica on Saturday, the stadium where Mendy played his first official match for the club. Since then, the French full-back has played 40 matches.

Ferland Mendy played his first official match as a Real Madrid player in the last visit of the side to Villarreal. It was on 1st September 2019 on matchday three of La Liga, that was played at La Cerámica.

The match ended 2-2 and, since then, the French full-back has played 40 matches for Madrid, starting 32 of them.

Mendy has also already got his first goal for Madrid. The Frenchman scored a good goal against Granada at the Nuevo Los Cármenes last season, one matchday before the team won La Liga. He has won two trophies with Real Madrid: La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.
