Memphis would not leave in January not even on a free

Roma were interested in Memphis recently, but Mourinho's side ended up dropping the Dutchman from their watch-list for January. Everything seems to indicate, therefore, that he will remain at FC Barcelona.

Memphis' desire, according to 'SER Catalunya', is to remain at the Catalan giants. Not even the fact that Xavi has no place in his plans for him has made him change his mind.

Memphis wants to stay at Barcelona until the summer and will do so at all costs. According to the aforementioned source, not even if the club offer him to leave for free to another club would he accept it.

The striker has a contract with the club until June 2023 and his plan is to fulfil it. He intends to finish the season at Camp Nou and leave for free in the summer of 2023.

So far this season, Memphis has only played 131 minutes in three games. However, he feels strong enough to continue under the orders of Xavi, who has already made it clear that he does not count on him.
