"Mbappe's game is suffering and he hasn't made any progress at all"

With Neymar injured once again, all eyes at PSG are on a Kylian Mbappe who, despite his great stats, has caused doubt and concern at the Parisian club.
The footballer's future is uncertain despite the fact the club have been trying to get him to pen a new deal for months. They fear that all the transfer speculation could be affecting his performances.
That is what former Monaco and PSG player Jerome Rothen thinks. Mbappe has been at both of those clubs as well. The former France international was concerned about the PSG number 7 both mentally and on the pitch. On the latter, he even doubted Mbappe's individual quality in comparison with his teammate Neymar.
"There's concern over his state of mind. Mbappe's attitude on the pitch that of a player who's got less confidence in himself and you realise the difficulties he has when the quality of the opposition increases," he told 'RMC Sport'.
"We all demand a lot from him because he's young and he can develop further, but we aren't seeing his game progress much. There are many facets of the game where we can see he has problems and suffers," Rothen explained.
He focussed on Mbappe's ability to construct play. "When Neymar isn't in the team, he wants to be Neymar. And even when the Brazilian is there, Kylian still wants to be like him."
Lastly, the former footballer talked about Mbappe's future. "We can be sceptical when it comes to his attitude and behaviour, they might not mean anything, but I think we all have the impression that his future does not lie at PSG," Rothen said. He also correctly predicted Griezmann's move to Barca back in 2019.
