The 'new' Italy enjoyed a fantastic performance against Liechtenstein, with even Marco Verratti getting on the scoresheet. This is a rarity for the midfielder, and Kylian Mbappe was quick to make fun of this fact on Twitter.
Verratti's goes was well-taken, and hit with all the power and accuracy of a top striker. It was his first goal since 22 November 2017, when he scored for PSG against Celtic in that season's Champions League group stage.
"Marco shoots... and he scores?" wrote Mbappe on Twitter in a comical tweet.
