Real Madrid announced last Tuesday that the footballer Mariano Diaz tested positive for coronavirus in the PCR tests. The player himself appreciated all the support and affection he has received on social media. This Wednesday, his agent, David Aranda, has spoken to 'Deportes Cuatro'.
The Spanish-Dominican's agent has said that Mariano believes and insists that his positive result is an error. "Those are the signs his body sends him," he has said.
"Mariano thinks that, if he has got the disease, it must have been from a fan because he is not capable of detecting it amongst his family and friends," David Aranda continued.
Real Madrid reported that the attacker is in "perfect health and he will comply with all health protocols at home before going back to work with the team.
Mariano will miss the Champions League last 16 second leg for Real Madrid against Man City and he will not be able to help his teammates try and fight back at the Etihad.
"Now I'm self isolating at home, I hope to return to normality soon and be soon with my teammates and the team,"·the player concluded.
